This composing and decomposing teen numbers activity can be used in many ways: a whole class math scoot game, an independent math write the room activity, or a fun small math group activity! It is perfect for any math lesson or math station and will keep your students engaged and moving!

Whether playing a scoot game, completing independent task cards, or participating in a math write the room activity, students will gain ample practice with composing and decomposing teen numbers into a group of ten and some ones! Students will practice composing and decomposing teen numbers with number bonds. Students will complete number bonds involving missing parts and missing wholes. There are two recording sheet options included for differentiation. Students can simply complete the teen number number bonds by composing or decomposing teen numbers, or for an additional challenge, they can also write the fact family that matches each teen number. Both color and black-and-white versions of the task cards are included.
