Hi there! I’m Nicole, and I’m so glad you’re here at Primary Junction!

I’ve spent my career hanging out with the littlest learners (from Pre-K through Second Grade), but First Grade? First Grade has my heart! There is nothing quite like watching the lightbulb go off when a student realizes they’re actually reading. It’s pure magic!

I’m a total phonics geek (seriously, give me all the rules, strategies, stories, charts, and videos!) and a massive planner. I enjoy spending time researching the latest methods to try to make sure no student falls through the cracks. My classroom is my happy place, a warm, tech-forward community where we learn hard and laugh often.

When I’m not in teacher-mode, you can find me hunting for treasures at antique stores, traveling to satisfy my history-loving heart, or curled up on the couch with a good show or book. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you find some fresh inspiration here for your own classroom!
