Are your students learning how to add tens to any number? This Add Tens to Any Number Scoot Game/Task Card Activity gives students hands-on practice with two-digit addition without regrouping. Using base ten blocks, students will add numbers like 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, or 90 to another two-digit number that contains ones.

Each card shows a two-digit number made with base ten blocks along with an additional group of tens to add. Students will record the number sentence and sum on their recording sheet. This activity helps students deepen their place value understanding, recognize how adding tens changes a number, and strengthen mental math skills—all while having fun and staying active! Both color and black-and-white versions of the task cards are included. Use the black and white version to save ink!
